This painting is of a beautiful spot in Wales called Penmaenpool is a hamlet on the south side of the estuary of the River Mawddach in Wales

The style and imagery of this piece is similar to that of the folklore legend of The Green Man - The Green Man

I have not cleaned the silver end to retain it's authentic patina - this must have belonged to a wealthy person - the addition of silver to this piece and the fact that it has survived for over 130 years points to a well made high end piece indeed
