Micaela Basket Phoenix This handmade enameled stoneware startsThe Micaela Basket features a variety of delicate raffia stitches on coils of pine needles and pajn, a native grass that grows in the highlands of Guatemala. The central circle transitions to a square basket thanks to open corners. Indigo blue raffia and pine needles accent the lovely design, which is both decorative and entirely functional. The baskets are woven in the Guatemalan Highlands by cooperatives of women who work to support their families
